When a monoplace chamber is the right fit
Monoplace chambers are the appropriate choice when the program treats one patient per session, when operational footprint is constrained, when patient privacy and individual treatment profiles matter, and when capex per chamber should be optimized. For most outpatient hyperbaric programs, wound care centers, wellness operators and a large share of hospital-based programs, the answer is monoplace.
The distinction between M-Series (compact, clinic-grade) and N-Series (reinforced, continuous-duty) depends on expected volume and clinical intensity. Both are engineered for safety and serviceability.
- Single-occupant acrylic-view design
- Operator HMI with treatment-profile logging
- Low-vibration compressor system
- Service-friendly architecture for long lifecycle
- Configurations that fit standard outpatient rooms
- Suitable for hospital outpatient HBOT programs
M-Series vs N-Series at a glance
M-Series targets clinics, outpatient centers and wellness facilities with moderate operational intensity. N-Series targets continuous clinical operation in hospitals, wound care centers and high-volume hyperbaric medicine programs. We help buyers pick the right line in the technical conversation, based on expected daily sessions, clinical scope and growth plan.
Facility planning for a monoplace room
A monoplace room is typically sized from ~25 m² and requires controlled access, an attendant station with patient visibility, oxygen distribution, electrical infrastructure with redundancy for critical components, and ventilation adequate for residual O₂ management. We deliver the functional room design alongside the chamber recommendation.
Installation, training and lifecycle
Each monoplace project includes installation, commissioning, operator and clinical training, technical documentation, and a maintenance plan. For international projects we coordinate with qualified local partners. The point is that day-one operation is safe and sustainable, not just functional.
Indications and clinical use
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is indicated by qualified medical professionals for specific clinical conditions. OHB manufactures and supports the chamber and the program; clinical indication remains with the medical team. Our role is to make the technology reliable, well-documented and well-supported.
